Pedal for Paris will start in Greater Manchester next week.
Pedal for Paris is an eight-day bike ride from Manchester to Paris in July 2024, to promote green action and innovation ahead of the Olympic Games in the French capital.
The ride is being led by Sport England chair Chris Boardman and aims to galvanise the sport and physical activity sector to step up its work in tackling climate change.
To coincide with the ride, every club and community group in England is invited to sign the Going for Green Pledge to become more sustainable.
Starting at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester on 16 July and finishing in Paris on 23 July, Chris Boardman will be joined by multi-Olympic medallist and UK Sport chair Katherine Grainger and a host of other high-profile participants.
It follows the launch of Every Move, Sport England's ambitious strategy to promote environmental sustainability, including more than £40 million of new funding to promote green innovation and participation, and helping sport and physical activity organisations become more resilient to climate change.
You can sign the Going for Green Pledge at www.pedalforparis.org.
