Help improve the health and wellbeing of communities in Greater Manchester by providing your expertise and administration for the next round of the GM Walking and Wheeling Fund (GMWWF).

The investment fund aims to help people who are usually less active or inactive to walk or wheel regularly - by wheeling, we are referring to wheelchair users, people using a mobility aid, and people pushing a buggy.

The GM Walking and Wheeling Fund supports the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector to develop and deliver initiatives that enable and empower everyday walking and wheeling through projects driven by communities.

It also supports the recruitment of walking and wheeling champions and designs initiatives or projects with long-term sustainability at the forefront.

The fund is part of Greater Manchester's shared ambition to enable more people to routinely walk, wheel and cycle for pleasure, personal or environmental benefit and travel convenience.

If you are interested in working with us on this, please provide a proposal (maximum four pages - see brief below) and send it to Carole Pollard ([email protected]).

Resource available: £100,000 (inclusive of your administration costs)

*Please note the deadline has been extended*

New deadline: 5pm on Friday 18 August
