Our Safer Streets project will be delivered in partnership with Trafford Council, Open Data Manchester, local stakeholder groups and other GM Moving partners, running from September 2022 to September 2023. The local community will be at the heart of the project which will be further shaped through a participatory co-design process in the Autumn.

As a result we are looking for three partner agencies to support us with this work…

1. A partner to lead on Safer Streets by gendered design

We are seeking to appoint a partner with specialist knowledge, experience and skills in gendered design, development and management of the built environment to create safe, inclusive, active streets and public spaces where all women and girls feel they are welcome and belong.

2. A communications agency to lead on a multi-media campaign

We are seeking to appoint a communications agency with proven knowledge and experience of working on the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) agenda. The agency should have experience of working in partnership, to plan, develop and create multi-media campaigns to support behaviour change, and help reduce fear of VAWG as barrier to access and participation in sports and cultural events, active travel and active lives.

3. A freelancer or organisation to lead on the production of two podcast series

We are seeking to appoint a partner with specialist skills and experience in podcasting. We are aiming to capture and share stories and learning and develop engaging content to help raise awareness of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) as a barrier to access and participation in sports and cultural events, active travel and active lives.

In the downloads section below you will find the full brief for each of these three opportunities, including closing dates, budgets and requirements.

There is also an appendix with more background information on the project.
