The Access to Activity forum will work together with partners to co-produce and co-design services that address inequalities and increase opportunities and access for SEND children and young people to be active.
The Stockport Local Pilot aims to increase activity levels for children and young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and/or Disabilities) aged 5 to 18 years of old in an out of school setting. Seashell who are partners in the pilot project and is part of Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council’s ‘Active Community Strategy’ is collaborating with parents and carers, PACTS; the voice of SEND parents/carers in Stockport, to advocate for inclusive activity.
The Access to Activity forum will work together with partners to co-produce and co-design services that address inequalities and increase opportunities and access for SEND children and young people to be active.
The forum members are parents and carers whose children and young people have additional needs or a disability and is supported by Seashell Local Pilot workers and PACTS parent / carer reps.
Please complete this questionnaire to help the forum gather enough information about parent and carers experiences of being active with children who have an additional need or a disability. All feedback will help the 'Access to Activity Forum' advocate in this matter for children and young people with SEND and help set their priorities for 2022.
