Niamh Moore

Job Role - My role is to support projects that seek to integrate physical activity and movement into the health and care systems in Greater Manchester and reduce health inequalities across the region. I also assist with the development and implementation of the GM Walking ambition to encourage more people across Greater Manchester to walk. 

Date Joined - September 2023 

Professional Background - I graduated from the University of Sheffield with a degree in Politics and went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Law Manchester. After this, started working for the social enterprise People of the Streets during their exhibitions across Manchester highlighting the voices of those with lived experience of homelessness in the city. This role solidified my ambition to work in the charity sector. I went on to work for Citizens Advice alongside volunteering for the charity Back On Track that supports people with multiple disadvantages. My goal to work in the charity sector coupled with my love for sport meant that GM Moving was the perfect place for me.  

Fun fact - I once won a bet against retired Italian rugby player Mauro Bergamasco and made €300.
