Research and Evaluation Lead
Job role: My role is to support research and evaluation efforts for Greater Manchester Moving, translating evidence into useable resources with the view to bring whole systems working to life. I specifically support our Life Course and Participation family, focussing on programmes such as the Together Fund and Opening Schools Facilitates to ensure we capture the impact of these programmes and work with Sport England to demonstrate indicators of change and new ways of working. My role also looks to develop a learning culture within GM Moving with the aim to develop a high performing team and to foster ways of working that translate learnings into the wider system and contributes to shared learning .
Date joined: April 2022
Professional background: After graduating with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science I was fortunate enough to be part of Sport Development Graduate Scheme that then would go on to shape the next 10 years of my career. I have worked in the FE Sector and community sport with a range organisations all in the pursuit to increase physical activity levels in England. Most recently I worked for an Active Partnership focusing on levelling the playing field for children and young people, enabling the most disadvantaged youth to take part in community sport. I‘ve recently completed a masters in Leadership & Management of Sport & Physical Activity where I adopted a new passion for evaluation process, which ultimately led me to Greater Manchester Moving. I have been lucky enough to build my career alongside playing premiership rugby where I have been able to achieve athletic goals and create some special memories.
Fun fact: I won back to back championships with Saracens Women.
