Job role:

As Project Lead for Health I’m responsible for working with healthcare professionals to embed more movement into health and care to reduce inequalities and improve the health and wellbeing of people in Greater Manchester.

This involves leading transformational change within the NHS, connecting and strengthening community assets, and supporting the implementation of sustainable physical activities.

Date joined: October 2021

Pronouns: She/her

Professional background:

After graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in Social Anthropology, I went on to do an internship in Public Engagement and Communications before continuing this work for an NGO in Bahia, Brazil. I then worked in the healthcare sector before finding GM Moving, which offered the opportunity to combine my skills with my passion for improving lives through physical activity and movement.

One of my most rewarding experiences was being Project Lead for Right to the Streets at GMM, a movement aimed at tackling violence against women and girls (VAWG) and making public spaces safer for women and girls to be active.

Fun fact: One of the best and worst moments of my life was being shouted at by Roy Keane in a pub. Both exhilarating and terrifying. Would 100% do again.
