Project Lead - Health
Job role: As Project Lead I’m responsible for driving key programmes and projects across the organisation that are aimed at making real, tangible and systematic change to improve the lives of people across Greater Manchester. Right to the Streets aims to tackle and address the problem of violence against women and girls by exploring ways to make streets and public spaces safe, joyful, and welcoming places where everyone can move around freely and be active. I'm now applying learnings from Right to the Streets to my new role around embedding physical activity into the healthcare sector.

Professional background: After graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in Social Anthropology in 2018, I went on to do an internship in Public Engagement and Communications before travelling to South Africa and Brazil where I continued this work for an NGO. I then worked in the healthcare sector for a pharmaceutical committee, but wanted to eventually apply my knowledge and skills to an area i was more passionate about.
Being an avid sportwoman my whole life and a firm believer in the power of movement, I couldn't turn down the opportunity at GM Moving to use my knowledge, interests, and passion to help tackle health inequalities from a more personal angle.
Fun fact: One of the best and worst moments of my life was being shouted at by Roy Keane in a pub. Both exhilarating and terrifying. Would 100% do again.
