This is a pivotal moment in our evolution, as Trafford Council invests millions of pounds in the five main indoor leisure facilities across Trafford over the next five years. This ambitious investment programme will transform the centres into fit-for-purpose, accessible, inspiring spaces under a new brand, creating sustainable facilities for future generations. The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Meeting and greeting customers on the shop floor, actively engaging and promoting health and fitness, and building rapport.
  • Working closely with club members, including inducting them on how to use gym equipment.
  • Providing detailed and achievable programmes for club clientele.
  • Actively selling club memberships.
  • Completing regular maintenance checks and cleaning.
  • Teaching and covering classes.
  • Preparing activity areas and equipment to meet programme needs.
  • Ensuring equipment meets first-class safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Listening and responding to customers’ requests.
  • You will often be required to work in our female-only health and fitness suite.

We are seeking motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team during an exciting period of change at Trafford Leisure. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to both customers and staff, ensuring a top-tier customer experience. Your key responsibility will be to create a positive and lasting first impression for every customer visiting the centre, providing a safe and professional environment for our fitness services and products. In doing so, you will play a vital role in maintaining the Centre’s reputation for excellence and contributing to its growth and success.

The ideal candidate will hold a minimum Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification, with a Level 3 and GP referral qualification being highly desirable. The ideal candidate will embody the Trafford Leisure Values of Making a Difference, being Open and Honest, Valuing Diversity, and bringing Energy & Empathy to all areas of work.

Working Hours: 27 hours

Your primary location will be Stretford Sports Village, although you may be required to work across various sites in Trafford. We are happy to work flexibly with you.
