The latest Active Lives results published by Sport England shows that 64.3% of adults in Rochdale are active for at least 30 minutes a week, this equates to 112,100 adults moving. This is a decrease of 10,600 from 12 months ago.
The latest Active Lives data shows that there has been a significant decline in activity levels across Rochdale in the last 12 months. 64.3% of adults in Rochdale are now moving (active and fairly active), this equates to 112,100 adults. Since Active Lives launched, November 2015-16, the inactivity rate has increased by 1.2%, meanwhile in Greater Manchester the rate has increased by 2.6%.
When this latest release is combined with activity data on children and young people, 130,800 Rochdale residents are moving.

The inactivity gender gap in Rochdale is 5.4%Since November 15/16 the gender gap has increased by 1.0%. This increase has been driven by a larger increase in inactivity amongst women (+1.2%) than amongst men (+0.2%). |
