The latest Active Lives results published by Sport England shows that 66.2% of adults in Oldham are active for at least 30 minutes a week, this equates to 121,600 adults moving. This is a decrease of 1,500 from 12 months ago.
The latest Active Lives data shows that there has been a decline in activity levels across Oldham in the last 12 months. 66.2% of adults in Oldham are now moving (active and fairly active), this equates to 121,600 adults. Since Active Lives launched, November 2015-16, the inactivity rate has increased by 7.3%, meanwhile in Greater Manchester the rate has increased by 2.6%.
When this latest release is combined with activity data on children and young people, 148,100 Oldham residents are moving.

The inactivity gender gap in Oldham is 2.5%Since November 15/16 the gender gap has increased by 0.4%, however, women are more active than men. This widening has been driven by a faster increase in inactivity amongst men (+6.7%) than men (+6.3%). |
