We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience in delivering a range of activities to young people in primary schools.

Oldham Active currently deliver to 50 Primary schools across the borough, offering a range of activities. The successful candidate will be asked to support the delivery of the In School Coaching Programme, delivering high quality curriculum PE lessons and extra-curricular clubs. In addition, Sport Development provide leadership, health and wellbeing programmes, dance and early years.

The Sports Development service provides young people with a wide range of year-round Sport, Dance and physical activity opportunities, including daytime, evenings, weekends and holiday periods. Activities are delivered across School, Community and Leisure Facility settings, with the aim of increasing participation levels.

The role will require flexibility to work across various school and facilities.

The contract is for 20 hours per week, term time only. Additional hours may be available within other areas of the business, up to full time hours if requested.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience of delivering sport/PE based activities within a school environment
  • Experience of delivering out of school activities
  • Experience of working with children and young people across the age and ability range.
  • Experience of working with teaching staff to plan and prepare lessons and learning activities.
  • An NGB Level 2 Qualification or equivalent

Training will be provided if necessary and confirmation of the appointment can only be granted during the probationary period to those individuals who attain the above qualifications.
