Salary: £21,480 full time equivalent (actual salary £17,184 per annum)

Join us at exciting time in our journey to improve lives through the sport of boccia. We are the national governing body (NGB) for boccia in England and a registered charity. We have the responsibility to govern the sport of boccia, grow participation, benefit people’s lives, and these three things have always been at our heart. Our work has a profound impact on improving the physical and emotional well-being of children and adults with disabilities.

To help us achieve our ambitions, we are looking to recruit a Regional and Volunteer Engagement Officer, to join our small staff team and report into the Head of Sport. We are excited by the opportunity to build our work in the North West of England and the chance to grow the game in this important region of the country.

This is the first regional role we are appointing, and we hope to add to the team in future, and this role will help us to shape the team. You will also support our volunteers nationally to enable our competition programme to run smoothly throughout the year.

As Regional and Volunteer Engagement Officer, your most important responsibilities will be:

  • To lead the development of targeted boccia playing and volunteering opportunities in the Northwest of England
  • To effectively and proactively engage and support existing volunteers across the sport of boccia in England, ensuring they have the skills needed for the sport to flourish
  • To recruit and retain new volunteers, with particular focus in identified geographical areas

We want to hear from people who can make a positive contribution to our charity and will bring new ideas and insight. We want someone ambitious for themselves and our sport. Please refer to the job description to view the full list of tasks and responsibilities of the role.
