Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join Oldham Council’s Public Health, Moving More team to support our residents and our communities to be more active in their everyday lives.
Working in a collaborative way with our residents and partners, you will be responsible for the project management of a programme of engagement and activation which increases physical activity, reduces car journeys, and improves the health and wellbeing of Oldham residents.
This diverse role will quickly develop your knowledge and understanding of the wider Public Health and Active Travel work areas and ensure you make connections and relationships across Oldham and the wider system.
You will be required to promote health, wellbeing and physical activity and increase awareness of the benefits of being more active. You will facilitate community engagement and upskilling initiatives to empower community leaders and foster social networks that support residents to actively use infrastructure and assets available to them.
