This is a pivotal point in our evolution as Trafford Council invest millions of pounds into the 5 main indoor leisure facilities in Trafford over the next 5 years. The ambitious investment program will see the portfolio of centres transformed into fit for purpose, accessible, inspiring spaces under a new brand of for future generations to come. Alongside this we need to ensure we have a developed a committed team across Trafford Leisure to allow us to continue delivering the best service to our customer to help create opportunities for them to move more and live longer, healthier, happier lives.

The role:

Our Duty Managers are at the heart of our centres and lead the shift on a day to day basis to support the team to deliver the programs and activities, ensuring that excellent standards and service are achieved. You will spend your time supporting and nurturing your team to bring out their potential and ensure that they are working to meet the requirements of their roles.

Working alongside your fellow management team you will use your experience and knowledge to ensure that Trafford Leisure, and your Centre is continuously improving. Working with the General Manager you will embrace Trafford Leisure’s vision, purpose and strategic outcomes to ensure that we can achieve on these.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • The day to day operation of the centre, working closely with the management team to support and develop all areas of the centres activities.
  • Alongside your management team you will be responsible for continuously working and driving forward the standards of Trafford Leisure within your centre and to offer our customers excellent customer service.
  • To lead and develop the team of Senior/Leisure Attendants who are passionate about delivering high standards.
  • Supporting your General Manager in the management of key performance information and using that data to make improvements.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Recognise qualification in Leisure Management, Sports Development, or related subject.
  • Key Holder and operational management experience in a Leisure/sporting environment or in a similar industry.
  • Experience of managing an operational team.

Working Hours: 39 hours per week
