Strategic Director

GreaterSport and GM Moving are looking for an outstanding Strategic Director to help lead a high performing GM Moving/GreaterSport team, with passion, integrity and purpose.

The latest data shows that we are making a difference and are on track to achieve our ambitious 2025 target. There is a long way to go, however, with some big inequalities still to address.

The new Strategic Director will help to lead the movement into its next phase, providing visionary leadership to the team and stakeholders across Greater Manchester. They will work in support of the team and partners to implement the GM Moving Plan through a distributed leadership approach, and deliver the GreaterSport Changing Our Lives Together Strategy.

We are looking for an excellent candidate, with exceptional values based leadership, a vision for movement building and a track record of team development. They will bring new skills, capabilities, experience and understanding to add value to our work. We are keen to keep diversifying our team.

We also encourage applicants from different professional backgrounds and sectors with a contribution to make in a whole system approach to addressing inactivity.
